Unique, Integrated Sessions

Sometimes a pet only needs a single method, such as an animal communication or TTouch® session. Other times, the pet guides me to a more integrated approach. The following stories illustrate how I create completely unique, integrated sessions for each people/pet team.

Unique, Integrated Session Stories

A New Forever Home  |  Caree Graybow, Minnetonka, MN

Coco’s life changed forever when a kind man found her on the side of a busy highway near Brainerd, Minnesota. When he and his wife realized they couldn’t keep her, they asked their daughter, Caree, to save the dog. As Caree drove back to the Twin Cities with Coco, she asked me to tell Coco (in an animal communication session), the sunburned and extremely thin Chihuahua, that she had a new forever home. Coco told me she was abandoned and had lots of puppies at the puppy mill. She wanted to stay forever with Caree. I explained she would live with Caree’s family. Coco said her previous name was “Tiny. What a dumb name!” She also told me she was excited to meet Caree’s big dog, a standard poodle.

A few months after adopting Coco, Caree asked me for help with her dog’s fears and separation anxiety. When I walked into Caree’s house, Coco’s tail was so tight between her legs that I could not see it. Slowly I approached Coco and she let me do gentle TTouches® on her. The tension started to leave her very tense body and her tail uncoiled from her body. Coco gave herself short breaks by walking away and then coming back to me.

As I worked with Coco, I decided to use some Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) techniques. All Coco’s chakras were closed. Using a beautiful HTA technique, I energetically gave her unconditional love and told her she was very safe in her forever home. Coco relaxed and her eyes softened even more. Her chakras were all open when we were done.

As I taught Caree the TTouches®, Coco suddenly jumped up and pranced out of the room with her tail up high, and she continued to prance around the house. We smiled as Coco showed her tail for the first time, and Caree was shocked to discover a beautiful brown diamond on it!

“Coco loves all the unconditional love and [her] forever home since her session! Coco is truly an amazing girl! She is gentle and loving to all who meet her! We are so grateful to have her in our lives...”

Lick Granuloma  |  Deb Aebi, Inver Grove Heights, MN

Elaine and Jackson

Deb called me, very concerned about Jackson and his lick granuloma. Jackson had licked his paw raw and created a four-inch-long sore. In the preceding month, Jackson had had three vet visits, was on antibiotics, and wore a cone around his head. He kept reinjuring the sore. Deb was afraid he might lose his leg. She found an article on www.dogleggs.com stating that TTouch® provided some successful strategies for addressing lick granuloma. Because Deb was so distraught, I went to her house that night. As I quietly talked with Jackson, I removed the cone and started doing TTouch® on his sore leg. Almost immediately he stopped licking his paw. I taught Deb the TTouches®. At the end of our TTouch® session, I suggested a blend of Bach® Flower essences to help Jackson with his emotions.

Deb used the blend for three weeks and continued doing TTouch® to Jackson’s paw. After my visit, they covered his wound only when they were at work and never used the protective cone again.

“After six weeks, it healed nicely. Elaine, you saved my dog’s leg and I am ever so grateful.”

Cat Excessive Grooming  |  Claire Marie Kohout, Hudson, WI

Wadsworth was under veterinary care for several months for his excessive grooming. When Claire Marie contacted me for help, Wadsworth had seven hairless, bloody spots. When I talked to him, he said “I must, must, must be clean and look the best I can look.” I explained that licking himself until he bleeds “doesn’t look the best,” and asked, “Would you like help with your obsessive licking?” Wadsworth agreed he wanted help.

Claire Marie and I discussed possible Bach® flower essences for Wadsworth, and I created a unique blend of essences just for him. Within two weeks, hair was growing back on five spots, and two spots had formed scabs. Wadsworth had stopped the excessive grooming!

Two months later, Claire Marie e-mailed to say, “Wadsworth is doing really well.”
