About Elaine

I’m Elaine Garley and I help people develop deeper relationships with their pets and help pets live full, healthy lives. Before I did this, I worked for a large corporation and longed to find my purpose and live my life’s work. I knew a few things: I knew relationships had always been the cornerstones of my life. I knew I loved working with pets. But I didn’t know how I could combine pets and relationships into a perfect career.

Then my husband told me a co-worker was ready to euthanize her dog and she had talked to an animal communicator. The animal communicator conveyed that the dog was not yet ready to die. I was intrigued, and asked the animal communicator to talk to our dog, Boomer. I received insight into how to help Boomer adjust to the changes in our newly remodeled home.

And so it began. I took classes. I practiced my skills with friends and co-workers’ pets for years, and eventually I became a professional animal communicator.

About a year later, I took Boomer to his yearly annual physical. But when the vet tried to examine Boomer’s eyes, a guttural growl came from the depths of his body through his muzzle. We left. I had heard of Tellington TTouch® Training and had an index card that described one touch. So I clumsily practiced that touch with Boomer for a few seconds each day for six days. At our appointment the following month, Boomer’s transformation amazed both the vet and me. Boomer sat quietly without a muzzle as the vet completed the exam and took his blood. Check out “Mouth TTouch Changes Boomer’s Life” to learn more about Boomer’s transformation.

I enrolled in the two-year TTouch® certification program and became a Tellington TTouch® Certified Companion Animal Practitioner. I am one of over 1,000 Tellington TTouch® certified practitioners worldwide.

As I transitioned into an early retirement from the corporate world, I created Animal Bridges: Connecting People and Their Pets. Boomer had shown me how to join relationships and love of animals through animal communication and TTouch®. He guided me closer to my life’s work. I am forever grateful to him.

Over the years, I’ve added more skills to help pets. One is Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA); I am one of only about 100 Healing Touch for Animals® Certified Practitioners (HTACP) in the world working with all types of animals. Daily I am amazed with the power of energy medicine and intention. I also use Bach® Flower Remedies that  stabilize the emotions of people and their pets. Bach Rescue® Remedy helped calm both me and my dog in stressful situations such as grooming. These simple yet powerful flower essences help restore the emotional balance and alleviate negative mental states. I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 Bach® Centre-approved courses.

I learned more about dog training by volunteering at the Animal Humane Society in the Training School since November 2010. I've assisted in training from Puppy and Level 1 through Level 4 that prepared dogs and their people for the AKC Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) Test.

Since January 2010, I network with other pet business owners as a member of PetPAC, a trade association and networking organization for Minnesota pet businesses. Currently I am an elected Board Member on a two-year term ending March 2013. PetPAC is a very supportive group of pet business owners.

With this knowledge and my love of people and animals, I look forward to helping you build a deeper relationship with your pet.
